A Support Program,
Not Another Scholarship

The late Dr. Alan Hickrod, Distinguished Professor in the Department of Educational Administration and Foundations at Illinois State University, was instrumental in laying the groundwork for the "Stay 4" Project.  He believed that although there are numerous programs which provide scholarships for low income students, many of them faced serious hardships and challenges which prevented them from completing high school, accessing post educational opportunities, and finding the money for basic needs.

Dr. Hickrod encouraged the foundation to establish a grant which would provide the vital support many of these students desperately needed, and would be a unique program which would encourage them to say in school, and fill a big financial gap that currently is void.
Look into the eyes of the young men and women you are supporting...

"Let us think of education as the means of developing our greatest abilities, because in each of us there is a private hope and dream which, fulfilled, can be translated into benefit for everyone and greater strength for our nation."

~John F. Kennedy
